With 3D mammography, precise and clear images are produced. Multiple images are taken of each breast from many different angles creating a three-dimensional visual of the breast and allows Dr. Polselli to examine your breast tissue one layer at a time providing critical clinical information. When detected and treated early, breast cancer can be 90%-99% survivable providing a better outcome.
2D MAMMOGRAPHY
A 2D mammogram takes only two pictures, one from the side and from above each breast. This can show areas of overlapping breast tissue on the images.
